First off, WMSC would like to thank all of the volunteers, coaches, refs, players, & parents for making this a successful season. Without the countless hours that our volunteers donate to our club & community we would not be able to keep our club up & running each season.
We hope that each player, from our youngest to oldest enjoyed their season with our club & that they look forward to returning for the Spring 2015 season!!
Sometime next year (2015) the WMSC will be opening our new soccer complex & introducing it to our community. We are very excited to have a place to call our own & are very thankful for the borough to give us this opportunity. Myself & other volunteers will be working hard throughout the cold winter months to assist the borough in work that needs completed to open our complex. The complex will provide a site for in house, travel, & tournaments to be played. We are targeting our Spring in house soccer tournament to be the date to introduce the complex to the community!!!!
The West Mifflin U19 Lady Titans finished the regular season with a 6-1 record led by Captain(s) Nikkie, Sydney, Crystal, & Chelsea. The team headed to Edinboro, PA with hopes of winning a championship at the PA West State Open Tournament.
The ladies played Tri-City in their first match and walked away with a 3-1 victory with goals from Becca and Taylor. Game 2 finished at a 0-0 tie versus a tough Highlands team. Game 3 against Brookline ended with a Lady Titans 2-0 win, goals being scored by Nikkie and Becca and a second consecutive shutout by Starr. The ladies would advanced to the finals playing Tri City again. Taylor's 2 goals were matched by Tri City's 2 goals placing the game in overtime. At the conclusion of two overtimes, neither team s
cored, resulting in a penalty kick shootout. Captain(s) Chelsea and Nikkie (who is also the Assistant Coach for the Lady Titans High School team) both connected on their PKs, however Tri-city scored one goal more to secure the win. The Lady Titans finished the Silver bracket as Runner Up, only missing the championship title by one shot. Great showing by the team and congratulations on a fantastic season!!

After finishing the Fall 2013/Spring 2014 seasons with a combined 12-4 record, the team headed to Edinboro, PA to play in the PA West State Open Soccer tournament.
The U12 Titans were placed in a 16 team division, needing to win their 4 team bracket in order to advance. First game was a 1-2 loss to a very good Greenville team. Mason scored the only goal for West Mifflin in this contest. Day 2 of the tournament had the team playing 2 games and needing wins from both along with help from other teams in order to make the semi finals. WM beat Norwin 5-3 with a 4 goal performance by Kenny, and a header goal by Logan off of a corner kick. Next game was against Chartiers Valley, the team that WM had beaten the prior year to win their first Open title. WM needed to score at least 3 goals while shutting the opposing team out. Hunter did his job in goal while Kenny went on to score 3 more, secure the 3-0 victory that propelled the team into the semi final vs a very skilled Shaler team who had gone undefeated for the tournment. WM scored first to give the Titans the 1-0 lead, but Shaler came storming back, scoring 2 unanswered and putting their team on top. Late in the match, WM was awarded a penalty kick due to a handball in the box by Shaler. Mason buried this Penalty Kick for his second goal of the game which pulled the titans level at 2-2.
